Since almost de beginning of the year we have been producing a story. We had to create a story about a specific hero character. My group has chosen the caregiver hero.

Caregiver
Quest: To help others.
Fear: Selfishness.
Dragon: Will take care of it and those it harms.
Task: To give without maiming self
Virtue: Compassion and generosity for others

In Second Opinion , people posted about the fallowing theme: The magic Pill

If you could take a pill that would change you, which would it be and why?

a. make you handsome or beautiful ex. (Miss USA, Miss Teen, Miss Universe)
b. make you famous
c. stronger
d. rich
e. extremely smart
f. President of the U.S.

Most of the person who answered that question has chosen de D pill, the pill that makes people rich. Some of them because they wanted to buy something in special (for example a computer, or any other electronic stuff), other to be able to give more charity for all the ones who are in need.

I personally would probably hesitate between the D one and the E one… Because I think that even if we don’t want to make the money becoming something essential for our lives (like something you really wouldn’t’ t be able to live without) that would be impossible. Because money, in our capitalistic countries cannot be an option, it ends becoming an object of survive. So maybe I would take the pill to become rich. Obviously, (well at least I hope!) I wouldn’t forget where I came from, and I know I would be conscious that there are millions and millions people who definitely need help.

The E pill, would make me become extremely smart.. I guess everyone would like to become smart.. Because becoming smart you would be able to create, transform, imagine everything that you want…this could be an ”exit” to problems.

So.. That’s it.. Comment on your opinion about the theme too!

To say goodbye

Tonight, I’ve just came back from a “Goodbye party” of a friend of mine. And as I was coming back by bus, I realized that friendship can be the most beautiful thing in the world but at the same time the worst and the saddest thing. I’m not talking about the fight and the misunderstood but about the separation. In the school that I study here in Lycée Pasteur in São Paulo, every year many students come from all over the world (mainly from France) because of the work of their parents, who are sent to work here by their company. So they usually stay here for two other three years and left Brazil to go to another country… I never really mind to this, because I guess that when I was young, I didn’t know what the feeling of a friendship was. But now, that I see that the people that I have been living for almost ten year is leaving, I stop and ask me the question whether it is fair that friendship, at their best moment, have to support the distance and the thought that we will never know when will be the next time we will see each other. I really hope that all of you who are concerned will make a “new” and very successful life abroad. And never forget that because we will stay here, we will always remember you, you laughs, your talks, ans all the moments we spend together.

Fracture, the new movie from Anthony Hopkins

In fact, Fracture is the name of the newest movie from Anthony Hopkins ( Hannibal), Ryan Gosling (The Notebook and Stay) and David Strathairn. I recomended it for the spectatos who like the “thinkin-movies” of judicial cases and etc.. It is a good option while the rooms for SpiderMan 3 are still full.

Acctually, the movie rectracts the story of Willy Beachum (Ryan Gosling), which is a young and ambitious prosecutor, who is at the top moment of his professional life. He’ d never lost a single case and is ready to assume a load in the famous agency Wooton Sims. However, before leaving the promoter position it has a last challenge in front of him: Ted Crawford (Anthony Hopkins)’ s case. After discovering that his wife was betraying him, Ted killed her with a shot in the head. It seemed a simple case, since it was a deliberate crime and with a clear confession, but Ted creates a complex labyrinth around the case and manages to obtain his absolution. Desiring to see Ted in jail, Willy don’ t give up of the searches even if he’ s not in the case anymore dareing his proper career, his future.

I would notest the good participation of the actors. They are really good. Even if I was a little disappointed about the history… I was still at the middle of the movie and I had already discovery the end… It is a little expected. It is the kind of movie that makes you think, where you try to unmask the case.

Is Abortion a Constitutional Right?

In Second Opinion people posted their opinion about the question: Is Abortion a Constitutional Right?In United-States democrat Dick Schumer asked Judge Alito” is abortion a Constitutional Right since Free Speech is?” In a matter of fact, abortion is a problematic that appears all the time in every country of the world. Abortion, or interruption of pregnancy, is, as the own name says, an interruption (spontaneous or provoked, being in this last case whether it is identified as medically and legally as voluntary interruption of pregnancy) of a pregnancy before the end of its normal development, many people define it as the death of the embryo. Taking a precise position is not easy because today people are very pledged in his opinion. The different religion plays an important role even in a secular state. For example, here in Brazil, the Republic is said a secular Republic, but the power of Christianity is so strong that the law cannot be modified because the majority of the population fallow religiously their belief and this would cause many many troubles to the State. In another way, sometimes the pregnancy may present problems that are fatal for the embryo or even to the own mother. When the death of embryos is already confirmed, this would not have to be a problem who involved judges and courts just for the realization of an abortion. In certain countries, the oppression is so large that the illegal abortions finish by causing innumerable deaths other women illnesses, internments and complications.In my opinion, I think that it should exist a different way who would find stability between law, religion, and ethic. If the government really would resolve this problematic, he should join together his ministers and compose a legislation who tries to satisfy as much as possible all the divergences. I don’t thinks that is fair that a young girl who has been abused is supposed to be pregnant and face things like that. But is not right too that woman uses this right making proof of ignorance having babies all the times and aborting. Is important an essential to give conscious of what this really means.

An exposition of real human body

An exposition brings in the Oca real human bodies “plasticized”. A week after the end of the Carnival in
Brazil (end of February), an exposition has been inaugurated in the Oca in Ibirapuera’s Park who shows real corpse. Controversy, “Human Body: Real and fascinating”, opened to the public on March the 1rst. Here in
Brazil, the public is able to see 16 corpses of women and men and 225 organs. In
New York it was 22 bodies, including fetus and 260 organs. The creator is Roy Glover, is a professor of anatomy and cellular biology from

Michigan
University.
The tissues of the cadavers passed thought a long process who gives them an aspect of plastic texture.
Many protest happened when the exhibition began in 2001 in
Berlin. Actually the purpose of bodies in an exposition wasn’t the only pattern of this controversy. Many discussions have taken place about the origin of these bodies provided by the Dalian School University of Medicine (north of
China). Some sources who haven’t been comproved said that these bodies belong to execute criminals. But the organizers assure that they belong to people who had a natural death and as alive they agreed to participate of a donation program of benefit science and education in
China. I think this exposition is interesting… Even if a lot of people considered it abusive or totally insane, the fact of being in contact, touching, seeing bodies like yours is a unique chance. Because I don’t agree with the fact that people live in their body but in the same time they have and enormous distance of them.
People really should visit this exhibition.

Tjis is one of the best countries in the world.. they have the best chocolates, french fries.. the nivel of life there is perfect.. it’ s a little cold during the winter but everything is lovely there!

Salvador

Salvador is the capital of Bahia, in the northest from Brazil. Salvador was the first city to be populated by the Portuguese in the 16th century.
Today is the “city of the carnival” .. from December to March.. every people just think about the carnival (which is more or less in February).
I ‘ve been there last July hollidays.. It is always hot there even during the winter.. People there is very very kind, they are always smiling and laughing… All the beaches are perfect!

Juquehy: one of the best beaches in São Paulo

Juquehy is one of the most beautiful beaches in São Paulo’s coast. I’ ve ever been there many times! IN the summer there are a lot of concert, festivals and the best is to spend the New Year there.. I specially like the beach because there are a lot of restaurants, the blue water..
You can meet a lot of teenagers there it’s really great.. everytime I go there I met new people from there other from São Paulo city.
It’s really really beautiful there.. I spent one of my best days in that beach..

If you can .. you couldn’t miss it!
