Fracture, the new movie from Anthony Hopkins
May 21, 2007
In fact, Fracture is the name of the newest movie from Anthony Hopkins ( Hannibal), Ryan Gosling (The Notebook and Stay) and David Strathairn. I recomended it for the spectatos who like the “thinkin-movies” of judicial cases and etc.. It is a good option while the rooms for SpiderMan 3 are still full.
Acctually, the movie rectracts the story of Willy Beachum (Ryan Gosling), which is a young and ambitious prosecutor, who is at the top moment of his professional life. He’ d never lost a single case and is ready to assume a load in the famous agency Wooton Sims. However, before leaving the promoter position it has a last challenge in front of him: Ted Crawford (Anthony Hopkins)’ s case. After discovering that his wife was betraying him, Ted killed her with a shot in the head. It seemed a simple case, since it was a deliberate crime and with a clear confession, but Ted creates a complex labyrinth around the case and manages to obtain his absolution. Desiring to see Ted in jail, Willy don’ t give up of the searches even if he’ s not in the case anymore dareing his proper career, his future.
I would notest the good participation of the actors. They are really good. Even if I was a little disappointed about the history… I was still at the middle of the movie and I had already discovery the end… It is a little expected. It is the kind of movie that makes you think, where you try to unmask the case.

Dear Colleague,
I teach English at a Professional High School in Jesolo Lido (Venice, Italy): http://www.cornaro.it and I have just completed a post-graduate course at the Venice University to qualify as Online Tutor. My course thesis, which was about Peter Ford’s experience at the British School of Amsterdam, is shortly due for publication.
Now I would like to write an article about the ECML Blogs Project, because Italy is so backwards in this field…! I’ve already contacted Valerie Sollars and I’d be grateful to you if you could let me have some feedback information about the project’s organisation and follow up at your school.
These are my questions:
1) How were the student bloggers of your school organised?
Did they all belong to one class? Were they all your students? What age group did they belong to?
3)Have you integrated blogging in your 2006/2007 school year activities? Has any of your language colleagues?
4) Has blogging been integrated in the teaching activities of teachers of other humanistic(liberal)/and/or non-humanistic subjects?
5) What are your feelings about the project in particular, and edublogging in general?
6) What were/are your students’ feelings? Was the “edblogging idea” taken up by your students, or students of other classes, suggesting to use it for language or other subjects teaching?
7) What are the possible criticalities of this kind of projects?
I’d REALLY appreciate an answer!
